In The Right Direction

Hello hello! So I am finally going to build a new website. I have decided that it's time that I get a site that is more user friendly. I actually thought about this yesterday. I was thinking that I could just switch to a platform that is free and still very user friendly. No, I want my own site where I can decide everything myself. Where I can build a site that I am proud of.

I have always wanted my own website for the blog. By doing this I am moving in the right direction towards what I want with this. I think it will be easier to make something of this with a user friendly site. That is what I want. That is what I've always wanted.

This may also mean that I may start to be even less active on this blog, but I am going to try and make up for it by using my other social media accounts way more. Be sure to follow me on instagram  (@eriikaworld) and twitter (@erikaworld).

Today I have a lot on my plate. Good thing that I have already finished my workout so I can cross that off my list. So what is on my list for today? Well, I have to do laundry (which I am doing right now as I am typing this - I am so thankful that I have a washing machine at home), iron some clothes (I have been putting that off for a while now because ironing clothes is boring), I have to clean my apartment and pay some bills. This sounds so boring and it is. But the truth is that these are things that eventually can't be put off. Ugh it would be so great if I had someone who came a cleaned my apartment and ironed and folded my clothes once a week. I mean I can easily do those things myself but those aren't fun things.

Here is a black and white version of one of the pictures that I posted the other day from my photoshoot with Pelle Larsson.
Oh, I am also going to do some work for this blog of course. I have some post that I need to prepare.  am going to try and book a photosho…

Pain In My Throat

It's Sunday, but it does not feel like Sunday. Every day is a weekend for me because I have no job. It has its perks but it also has its downside. Well well.

OMG I have had this horrible pain in my throat the past few days. I seriously hate this because I've had this pain probably three or four times within the past six months. I googled earlier about having my tonsils removed. I feel like I do qualify for that because on 1177 it said that you have to have had tonsillitis at least three to five times within a year or two to be considered for that. But I think that that means you have to have been diagnosed by a doctor. Ugh so annoying.

I am going to call 1177 tomorrow and ask them because this is annoying. The pain is so bad that I can barely swallow and medicine rarely work. Does anyone have any tips for this? Have you had your tonsils removed? I need as much help as I can with this!

Trying Something New

Hello! I love Åhléns! I went shopping there yesterday and got a huge discount. I am a member of there loyalty club so every now and then I get pretty nice discounts. I buy all of my facial products there because of the discounts that I get. I also collect 1 point for every 1 kr that I spend.
Anyway I bought two new facial products that I have never tried before. I have tried other products by those brands so I hope that these will be just as good.

I have wanted to try Biorés deep pore charcoal cleanser for a while so now that it was time to buy a new one I decided to try this one. I also bought FORMULA 10.0.6s Seriously Shine Free mattifying oil-free moisturizer because I need a new night cream. I know that it is a day cream but I can't use regular night cream because they're not oil-free. The day cream that I use has SPF and you shouldn't wear SPF during the night as well. That is why I need two day creams.
Since it usually takes a couple of weeks to notice any real diffe…

Hello! I got some new pictures last night from a photoshoot that I did this summer. These pictures are shot and edited by Pelle Larsson. If I have one comment about these picture is that first one is overexposed. Originally it is not like that so he edited that way otherwise I am pretty happy the pictures from that shoot. We got some amazing shots and I can't wait to show you more but until then you have to enjoy these two.

How To Be Vegan Pt. 2

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? I see that you really liked my How To Be Veganpost from last week and that inspired me to do a part two of that post. This post is going to be about my favorite vegan food brands.

I feel like that when people think about vegans they think that we only eat salad. That is not at all true. Yes a vegan diet is 100% plant based but that doesn't mean that we only eat salads. There are a lot of vegan alternatives/ versions of "regular" food. Some of them taste exactly the same or much better than the non-vegan version. Like this vegan mayonnaise. I would say that homemade mayo (at least the one I used to make myself) taste a billion times better than store bought. So when I tried this vegan mayo I was a bit sceptical but honestly I can't tell difference and the best thing is the it tastes just like homemade non-vegan mayo.

I have not tried other products by this brand only the vegan mayonnaise. I just used it as point to say that vegan p…

The Dream Remains

Hello my darlings! It is Friday. I would say that I am really excited for the weekend but since I don't have a job right now other than this blog everyday is like a weekend (sort of). But I am still excited for this weekend.

Yesterday I was sitting on the couch doing something on the computer and listening to music. Just all of the sudden I had this feeling about how much I missed bloggning about music and movies and all of that. But also just the other day I was talking to a friend about how I probably wouldn't want to be doing that anymore. Even though that blog was very successful I don't think that it would feel right to be doing that. Meaning that that isn't me anymore. I wasn't derogatory in any way, I was just simply reporting on what new music and movies and stuff like that that was out now. Yes, I gave my opinion on things but if I didn't have a good opinion I didn't share it because I didn't want to be like that.

Before I want off to college i…

How To Be Vegan

Hello! As you know I have been a vegetarian for many many years (that makes me sound like I am at least 100 years old) but I recently decided to go full on vegan. No more animal products. It may sound very hard but it's not. Or at least not for me whom has been used to eating a lot of vegetables and beans for several years. That's the kind of food I like. I realize that being vegan is not a choice for everyone. 1) Because you actually like meat and hey it is nothing wrong with that. 2) Your health problems may make this difficult and I respect that because HEALTH ALWAYS COMES FIRST.  My reason wasn't 100% that this is the kind of food that I like. It was also because I rarely ate any dairy products anymore and I saw no reason on continuing just every now and then. When I made up my mind I was determined and kind of disgusted at the thought of eating dairy again. Sometimes when I set my mind on something there is no way going back.
What do I eat? I eat anything plant based. …

Black Goes With Everything

Hello! So today I thought that I would do a little fashion inspiration. I have been looking for a pair of black pumps or just a nice pair of black heels for a while now. I have looked everywhere but I haven't been able to find any that I like. So frustrating! It shouldn't be that hard (first world problem!). I know that the weather is getting colder and not wearing proper shoes on your feet is like dipping them in ice water. My feet are always cold even during the summer when it's hot outside. I sleep with three pairs of socks plus two pairs of wool socks because otherwise I feel like my feet are in Antartica. But as that saying goes "Vill man var fin så får man lyda pin".

As I said I am on the hunt for a pair of black pumps. Black pumps goes with everything that is why I need a new pair. I was about to give up on finding a pair and wear the ugly ones that I have at home until I checked this morning. I found seven pairs that I like! One for each day of …

Pinterest Look

Hi! I just wanted to share this look that I copied from Pinterest. I love when I find a look on pinterest and I have that in my closet. What do you think?

Snack Time

Hello guys! How are you? I am good but I have a small cold so I am also not good. Seriously where is the vaccine for the common cold?! That should be a shot that is included in those vaccines you get as a kid. This is so annoying! I never get sick other than that I get a cold like six times a year. It's not funny.

So now I am sitting here on my couch trying to recuperate so that I have energy for next week. My mom is coming to Stockholm tomorrow. We are going to see Chris Rock. I have been looking forward to that for months! He is someone that I have wanted to see for years so I am really excited that he is finally coming to Sweden. My mom and I are going to go out to dinner and the go and see Chris Rock. Actually we also saw Kevin Hart when he was here almost two years ago. We are also going to see that new movie Girls Trip. It's seems really funny.

Right now I am just sitting here on the couch and having a little snack. Just some tea with honey and a toast. Not just a toast …

Better For The Environment

Hello! I thought that I would give you one super easy tip for being more environmental. So when I bake I always use a reusable silicone baking sheet instead of one made out of paper that I can only use once. I got one from my mom for my birthday last year and it's the best thing ever just because it's reusable. Not only is it better for the environment but it's better for your wallet. Think about it! Instead of paying a little bit of money a lot of times you pay a little more money once. These baking sheets can be kind of expensive but I bought one today at Cervera for only 149kr.

Fall Must Have

I am literally craving this coat from Lindex so bad right now! I was going to make this post about my fall must haves. I was going to choose about five pieces that I really love and are craving so hard right now. Then I realized that the only thing that I am craving this fall is this coat from Lindex.

If you like the coat yourself you can buy it here!

I am probably going to buy it. The only reason that I haven't bought it is because it costs over 1000kr. It's not that I can afford it, it's just that it's a lot of money and I really don't have an income right now. LOL that didn't stop me from buying those DIESEL jeans for 1500kr. In my defence I had a 15% discount on those jeans and also I have a discount at Lindex. I mean how can your turn down something when you have a discount?!

Vegan Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Buns

Hello! I was going to post this last night but I was too tired. I barely know how I managed to bake these buns but I did. Okay, so a few weeks ago I saw this picture on instagram of these delicious looking vegan pumpkin spice cinnamon buns. Immediately I just knew that I had to make them. Last night I finally decided to fight my fatigue and bake them. I even made my own pumpkin spice pumpkin puré (because you know I make everything from scratch). It was very easy.
As you can see I made twice as many buns as the recipe says, but you should still bake them for 25-30 minutes.
I skipped the glazing on my buns.
I have missed baking so much! When I was younger, before I started high school and even in high school I used to bake all of the time. Cookies, cakes and I even made my own ice cream. It was so much fun. Now I don't do that as much or I mean even at all. It's just that I don't really have the same craving for sweet stuff as I did back then.
 If you yourself is feeling…

Since I have been a little absent the last few days I am going to try to make up for it today by giving you guys few extra posts.

I love going for walks in the forest. It's so cozy and nice to get out and see something else. Just because it's fall now I make sure that I bring a bag with me so that I can pick some mushrooms. So the other day when I was in the forest didn't think that I was going to find any mushrooms because I saw a few other people with baskets full of mushrooms. I prayed that they had not found my spots. Maybe they found a few of my spots but that didn't really matter because I found so much mushroom in other places. 679g of mushrooms! I am so happy. Tonight I am thinking about making a pasta with a creamy sauce and mushrooms. Yum yum!

Yesterday From InstaStories

Sorry that I have been silent. I don't know why but I have been super tired the past few days. So when  I have come all I have energy for is things that absolutely need to be done. I guess that's just life. Anyways, my friend Patricia and I went to Rosendals trädgård yesterday and afterwards we went on a walk around Djurgården. It is so beautiful out there. If you are ever in Stockholm you have to go to Djurgården and just look at the beautiful nature!

Be sure to follow me on instagram to see more pictures like this @eriikaworld :)

Coconut Rice Pudding

Yesterday I tried out a new thing in the kitchen. I made rice pudding with coconut milk instead of regular milk. I just had this idea in my head that it would be really tasty. I was right! It was so good. I love cooking. I love coming up with new ideas and trying them out. Sometimes it works out really well and sometimes it doesn't. The the beauty of it and how you learn.

If you want to make coconut rice pudding yourself, all you have to do is switch the regular milk for coconut milk. It's as simple as that! But in case you don't know how to make rice pudding I am going to share my recipe with you. My aka the recipe on the packing of Eldorado's pudding rice. (So it's really Eldorado's recipe and not mine, anyway I am sharing it with you but all credits go to Eldorado for the recipe. Except for the coconut milk, that is all my idea.)

Coconut rice pudding
2 portions

0,75 dl pudding rice
1,5 dl water
1 krm salt
2-3 dl coconut milk

How to:
1) Add the ri…

New Recipe

Today I am trying out this new recipe. Or it's really not a recipe it's just an idea that I had. I am making coconut rise pudding. Doesn't it sound delicious?! I made this coconut rice for dinner the other day and that just got me thinking that wouldn't it be delicious if I made some coconut rice pudding. The end result of the coconut rice was almost like a rise pudding which is where I got the idea from.

It's on the stove cooking right now. I will tell you how it turned out when it's finished. Talk to you later!

Lets Talk About Carpets

Yo, so lets talk carpets. That was the only thing that I didn't mention yesterday. I want to replace all of the carpets in my apartment, not just the one in my little bed corner. What I have learned the past few days is that furniture and pretty much everything when it comes to interior design is expensive. It's ridiculous how much things cost. For example I saw a carpet with the words "I eat cake in bed" on it for 25 000 kr. That is insane. Yezus! Not that the ones that I like are exactly cheap but still, c'mon this is crazy! But I guess if you want something good then you are going to have to pay for it.

In my kitchen/ hallway I have four carpets if you count the door matt. I am thinking that maybe I should just have one huge carpet in the kitchen area and in the hallway area I should just have a door matt and a smaller rug.

The kitchen area
The hallway area
In the hallway outside the bathroom I am thinking about getting a carpet in a similar size that I have now…
