Yummy In My Tummy

Image
Hello! So last night I made a delicious dinner from this cookbook I got from my mom this summer. It's funny because the cookbook is all in English and I usally use recepie in Swedish so some of the ingredients I had no idea what they were. But it's a good thing that there is something called google. It's fun trying these new recepies because it's dishes I don't usally eat or would think of to cook. So this is broadening my horizon. Plus I am learning new words in English. It is a win-win situation. If you compare my dish with the picture in the book I don't think that they look that much different. What I made was spiced tofu, nudles and pak choi. It was delicious! The sauce - OMG! your writer, Erika

So today I have had a lot to do at work but I manage to get it done in time. Which is so nice! What's less nice that is that I almost became def in the process. Okay maybe that is a little bit over exaggerated but my right ear started hurting so much because of the ship sound from the stapler that I had to take two painkiller. It's better now, which I am so happy about. Now I am just going to chill on the couch eating my risotto and watch the latest episode of Empire . your writer, Erika

What For Dinner Tonight?

Image
Last night I made the most delicious dinner! Raggmunk (I don't know what it's called in English or if there is even a word for it in English). On the side I had lingonberries. OMG it was so delicious. I thought that I would share the recepie with you guys and since I am so super awesome I am going to translate it for you! Note: It is not my recepie it's Per Morbergs recepie from  koket.se . Ingredients: 800g of potatoes 2dl of flour 4dl of milk 1tsp of salt Butter for frying How to: 1. Peal the potatoes. 2. Whisk together flour, salt and milk to a smooth paste in a bowl. 3. Grate potatoes coarsely directly into the milk mixture. 4. Fry a little butter in the pan. Calculate about 1/2dl batter per raggmunk. 5. Spread each raggmunk with a spatula and fry them over medium heat for a minute on each side so that they become golden brown. 6. Serve raggmunks with lingonberries. If you want to read the orginal recepie in Swedish click here . Not...

Renovation Time

Hi every one and sorry for not posting anything yesterday. I was at work all day and when I got home I tried to beautify myself because I was going out to dinner with a friend. When I got home I just didn't feel like blogging. I just wanted to watch Netflix. My friend and I went to RAW, which is the best sushi restaurant in Stockholm! I am not kidding when I say that they have the best sushi in town! It's freaking delicious. And the restaurant has such a nice atmosphere. I feel like yesterday was good karma because my friend and I sat next to a Buddha statue. We had such a lovely time. Instagram: @eriikaworld I don't know if I've said this before but I feel like not when I work Monday through Friday the weekend feel so much more desirable. It's so nice to have to days off and I do appreciate it more and take more adverting of the free time that I have. Not that I have done anything special today. Depends on how you see it though. I have started a small ren...

Sunday Funday with Patti

Image
Yo! Hi everyone! I hope that you all have had a great weekend so far! I've had a pretty good weekend. Pretty mellow. I mean I haven't done much. I studied a bit yesterday and did some laundry and went to the recycling station. Today was fun though! My friend Patti is back in Sweden for a while so we went out to dinner and the we took a long walk. It wasn't that long, but we took a walk along Strandvägen. So beautiful! Before dinner I had to buy her a birthday present because her birthday was three weeks ago and I hadn't bought her anything yet. I tell you this woman is impossible! OMG! First, when I asked her a few weeks ago, she wanted a case for a camera, but I couldn't find find/ they were like super ugly. So I asked her if she wanted something else. So the she was like just get me a gift card. So I was like okay yeah I will buy that. Until this morning I was going to get her that, then she texted me saying if she could change her mind. I was like sure! I mean ...

Last Friday Night

Hi guys! Okay so hmmm, didn't I tell myself that I was going to go to bed now? LOL. I gotta post a lil something for you guys first. I haven't posted anything all weekend. I guess I have finally got a life besides this blog. Not that I love it here because I do, but it is also fun to do things in real life. Things that you can blog about. LOL. I am not going to tell you everything about my weekend but I am going to tell you that I have had fun. I went to a birthday dinner for my friend Linda who turned 22! Old lady! LOL, no she is not old. I am also turning 22 this year. April 6th and y'all better not forget! Hahaha. No, but it was nice. We don't see each other that often now because she doesn't live in Stockholm anymore. So whenever she is in the big old city that we both were born and raised in we try to see each other. Not that she lives far from Stockholm. Talk to you some more tomorrow! Goodnight luvies! your writer, Erika

Happy 21

So it's my birthday! Yeah! I have had a good birthday so far (I mean the day is not over so pretty much anything can still happen). I got breakfast in bed by my mom and the dogs. During the day I didn't do much. I just returned a the movies that I rented last weekend. I do go out to dinner with my mom, Sara, Åsa and Alex. We went to Texas Burgers & Deli, because I wanted a burger. A real burger, not a McDonalds burger. Nothing bad about McDonalds but also I don't eat real beef. I just don't like the taste. The Texas Burgers that we went to was quite a cozy little place. It was not a big restaurant. I liked I might go there again some time. My breakfast this morning (btw that is a scented candle, not that anyone cares LOL)  The burger that I ordered at Texas Burgers & Deli I bought an ice cream today and look what it says on the stick. LOL. your writer, Erika

The Three Day Vacation: Day One

Image
LOL. I am not really on a vacation, I am just not scheduled to work until Wednesday. Which means that I have three days off from work. Today, tomorrow and Tuesday. Yeah! Do you understand how happy I am? Well, I am really happy! Hallelujah! I am not going to do much. Or we'll see, it's just day one so far. LOL. I started my "vacation" pretty easy. A slow start. I went to Hemmakväll with my mom and rented some movies. I have been wanting to to that for weeks now but I have been so busy, always working, that I have never had the time. I might have had the time to go and rent the movies but I would have had the time to watch them. But now I do. Three days baby! It really feel like a vacation! Hallelujah! Hahaha. Okay yeah so I rented some movies. I rented five, if the amount is important to you. Among the movies I rented Think Like A Man  and I have been wanting to see that movie since I lived in the United States. That's a long time. Over two whole years! I did ac...

I feel like this is going to be a good week! I mean it's only Tuesday (probably Wednesday when I have finished this post) but so far so good. Yesterday I went shopping, today I had dinner with my BFF Linda, tomorrow This Is Us , Thursday nothing special planned, Friday kräfskiva at Sara's, Saturday I have the whole apartment to myself (PARTAYYYYY! Hahaha no, I would never dare to have a party because I'd be like "OMG! Be careful with that.", "NO! You can't use my room! Ewww!" etc) and Sunday, hmm I don't know. I foretell a damn good week! Especially tomorrow! Yup! So today Linda and I went to Lily's Burgers for dinner. I have never been there before but I love burgers and I gotta say I have been really tempted to try their peanut butter chocolate milkshake (which I did and OMG! TRY IT!). Since I had never been there before I only knew kind of where it was because of what I had googled. So when Linda and I went out the subway station I had n...

My Moms Birthday

Image
Yesterday was my moms'  birthday. Yeah, it was cool. I made her breakfast (yeah, I am just that nice) and gave her a present - a pair of shorts and a top from H&M. Later we went out to dinner with Annika and Kaj. They wanted to take out my mom since it was her birthday. It was fun and it was just the four of us. Annika, Kaj, my mom and I. Yeah. Today is the party. Party, dinner, whatever. There will be people and there will be food. Call it what you want. I am in charge of the cakes. I layered the yesterday, so all I have to do today is decorating them. It's going to be fun. I have a few ideas. OMG, you know what, when my mom went shopping for the party she almost bought flan case which kind of broke my heart. I mean hello! Fortunately I talked her out of it. Yeah, but the she end up baking them herself anyway. At least she didn't buy ready flan cases, so I guess that's good. I mean who does that? Lazy people. Okay maybe not but hire a che...

Life Right Now

I am sitting here blogging (Have It Hollywood and my new blog ), watching Pretty Little Liars and cooking dinner (salom lasagna). Later I have to study for a test I have on Friday. It is about the history of the Swedish langue. It is a small test. Well, that is what my teacher told me. I am persuasive. Yep, I am. I have been nagging Linda to watch 90210 for months and she has finally caved in. Mohaha! You never know when you will be the vitcim of my persuasiveness. Hehehe. your writer, Erika
