Stretch It Out

Image
Hello! This morning I thought I would share a yoga video from GymRa . I do this video three times a week. I love it because it's so calm and easy to follow. I read the comments to this video on youtube and some people were complaining that it is too fast and that the poses/ exercises are not explained beforehand so it's hard to follow. Someone said that they had to pause they video so that they could finish their breath because the video is too fast. It's not yin yoga. But hey every one's different and that what makes everyone so great. I love this video and have never had any problems following it. Not only do you get a really good stretch you also build some muscles using your own body weight. Comment below (or hit me up on twitter  @erikaworld ) what you think of this video. Is it too fast or is it just right? Have a great day! your writer, Erika

My Workout Schedule

Hello! I workout every single day. I workout a little over an hour. I would never workout less than that. I mean this works well for me. The only time I would sweat it out for only 40 minutes if I would take an hour of lunch and work out during the time instead of eating. But no, I like it this way. As I have said before I only work out at home in my living room. I follow videos on youtube. There are all kinds of workout videos on youtube. I am sure that you you want to try it you will find something that suites you. My workout schedule is quite simple. I do yoga Monday through Wednesday and cardio (that focuses on the butt and thighs) Thursday through Sunday. It is not more complicated than that. But, I also do the plank everyday. the plank is good for overall body strength. I eight minutes of the plank everyday. Two minutes, rest for a few seconds and repeat four times. Try that everyday and you will notice significant changes. Have a nice Tuesday night! your writer, Erika

Yoga Pt. 2

Image
Hello! You didn't think that I had forgotten about you? Yeah, I know it's late but I have been on the move all day. Some days are just like that. But I like being occupied. It feels like I am contributing to the world then. I like to think that I make a positive mark wherever I leave. So I talked about yoga yesterday and I thought that I would continue today. I love yoga! I just love how flexible my body has become. I feel so much more confident about myself since I started doing yoga. As I also said yesterday, there is like one billion different styles of yoga out there. I practice power yoga because it focuses as much on stretching your muscles as on building muscle. So your muscles become very long and lean. I also love building muscle. I mean I like having a nice butt. This video below is great! I have done this video for a while now and it is the reason that I have the body that I have today. I focuses on all parts of your body. Try it out and let me know in the comm...

Benefits of Yoga

I love yoga! It is my favorite workout method. I would only do yoga but I need cardio. Well all need cardio. I do yoga because I want a flexible body. I love being able to bend my body different ways. I think that is so beautiful! Just look at the Cirque du Soleil performers! My gaash they are gorgeous! I wish that I could be one of them. There are actually a lot of health benefits from doing yoga. Yoga actually has as many mental benefits as physical. Yes! I have never thought of it before but now that I think of it it is the most obvious thing. As far as mental health. Yoga can help with stress, body awareness, sleeping problems plus a whole problems. Some of the physical benefits are increased flexibility (this one is obvious I know), but also increased muscle strength and tone and you will notice that you will have a lot more energy. Yoga is great! There are like one billion different styles go yoga so I am sure that you will find of the suits you. Plus if you have never done y...

My Workout Routine

Hello again! So how does Erika work out? What do I do to attain the body that I have? For starters I workout every single day. I really don't do that much. On avarge I workout one hour per day. That's not much. It is really not about how long you workout it is more about what you do. My workout routine is pretty simple and easy. I do yoga three times a week, I do 30 resp and five sets of situps and backlifts every single day, I powerwalk once a week (plus I walk druing my lunch) and I a butt and thigh routine three times a weeks. It's really not more than that. I always try to keep moving and eating healthy. It's not harder than that. At least for me, it is important to remember that every body is different and is going to react things differently. This is the butt and thigh routine that I mostly do:  https://eriikasworld.blogspot.se/2016/09/booty-bootcamp.html This is the yoga that I do:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnDmN2IkSPo How you you guys workout? Fitness

OMG, I am so exhausted. But in a good way because I walked 15km and then I did a 30 min butt and thigh exercise. My leg are petty dead right now. I want to start working out more now that I don't work at Espresso House. I mean because at Espresso House I was always moving doing this and that. Now at my new job I sit down for a large part of the day. So that is why I want to start exercising more. I talk walks during lunch but that is not enough. Plus I would also like to get a rounder butt. I just feel like I have no ass. Or more like it's disappearing. I am still going to continue my yoga because yoga is life and I don't want to loose the flexibility in my body. Here is the yoga video that I do. It is really awesome for your body because it is not just for flexibility. It is really good for building strength in your body. Or at least the one that I do. I really do recommend this video. Try it out for yourself -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnDmN2IkSPo ! you...

Yoga Life

Image
Hi! how is everyone doing in this heat wave? Hahaha it's not really a heat wave here in Stockholm but I was sitting on my balcony before and it was really hot with the afternoon sun just staring right at me. I got a little tan but no tan lines. But almost thank god for that. I mean you want tan lines just to show that you have been outside but I am wearing this dress today with avery high neck line so i don't think that would be very pretty. It has a very low back to compensate, but still. I got a little anxious before because I have been working from home today, just sitting on my ass with my computer in my lap. I mean I have been still not really doing much in the sense of moving. Then I remembered that I worked out this morning. I actually have been working out every morning for the past three days. So I am good I guess. I love yoga and what it has done to my body. I love it because of how flexible I have gotten! Yoga really is the way to keeping your body looking fresh an...

Mondays

Image
Hi everyone! Good afternoon! Yeah! Who says that Mondays are boring? Not me. I have had a really good start of this week. Such a nice morning. I had a delicious breakfast with greek yoghurt and homemade granola and then I did some yoga. Yeah. The only thing that motivates me to work out is the result that notice on my body. I love yoga! I think it's the best thing! My body has become so much more flexible and I have actually got some muscles and abs (!). Hahahaha. I don't want to much muscle, that's not my thing. But it's nice to have some, be a little strong. your writer, Erika

The Interview

Image
You know what I had really good day yesterday. It was just good and the weather was good and it was just good. I had a meeting and after that I went shopping. I also did an hour of yoga and after that I finished my day by renting The Interview . I mean that movie was so talked about before Christmas, so you kind of have to see it. But I am going to watching again tonight because I was kind of tired when I watched it last night. your writer, Erika

Switching Lanes

So, uhm, I am going to try another workout method. Yoga. Yeah, I am going to take Sara's advice and do something else. I checkout the website she recommended which seems like an great website for people who want to workout at home. I found a video with tips for beginners. It seemed like something very easy and not hard to do at home since you don't need a lot of equipment, except a chair, sofa or something like that. I also found this yoga video on youtube so, yeah that's my work out for today. Since now am going to workout at home (assuming that I will like my new workout methods) the weather won't stop me. I mean, I am not going to go jogging when the rain is pouring. You're not supposed to do that, are you? From one health thing to another. Hehehe. Remember the post where I linked to a post on Lauren Conrad's blog? The "Beauty Secrets" post? Come one guys it was last week. Anyway, I am not going to let your (lack of) memory stop me from continuing...
