Workouts For Your Brain

Hello my darlings! Today I am actually writing to you from my regular office aka my balcony. I was actually thinking about it, that whether or not it would be a good idea to have a real office and work from there. But nah I rather just buy a fancy apartment and work from there. The office would be a good idea if I had several employees but I don't and I am not planning on hiring anyone anytime soon. So that's that.

So all this having a healthy lifestyles is a combination of things. I know I know I know, I have brought this topic up a few times before. You can't just say that working out equals having a healthy lifestyle. Yes it's a big part of it. It is also very important that you workout your brain. Always keeping it going by making it solve problems and having to think strategically. Mathematics is actually really because you can't just act and not think you have to think and then act. Working out your brain will improve so many other aspect of your life. It will help you to be over all more logical, strategic and help you make good decisions fast. To simplify it, you will become a better problem solver.

But okay, math not every one's favorite subject. Don't be scared thinking that math is the only way to improve your problem solving skills. There are actually other things and activities that you can do that will help you with that. Like gaming and parkour.

A study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences by Vikranth Bejjanki and his colleagues showed that gamers have better perception, attention and cognition skills. They did a series of experiments with gamers who had previous experience. Experienced gamers were better at perceptual things like pattern discrimination. Gaming can actually be a way more stimulating learning method than traditional ones. Yes, gaming has these amazing effects but it also has a lot of downsides. It is also important to remember to go outside and move around.

Parkour is actually really good. Other than it being a great workout it also helps with creativity and promotes quick thinking skills. The obstacles that you meet in parkour will not always have an obvious solution to it. Therefore you have to be creative and quick on your feet to overcome it.
